Reviewer:  Xcbuffchic   Review Date:  9/8/04      Rate This Apartment     I must admit I was a little surprised to read so many bad reviews about this complex...I have lived here for a few months and have not had any problems.If you are concerned about noise, I would suggest getting a 3rd floor apartment, as these carry less noise than the ones at the bottom.Seriously, anywhere you go to live that's housed mainly by students is not going to be a really quiet place.However, I am an extremely light sleeper, and have not had any problems getting a good night sleep.The parking lot has been resurfaced since some of these reviews, and I have noticed that the parking spots are somewhat bigger; my roommate has an SUV and doesn't have a problem finding a parking spot to fit in to.There are security cameras all over the parking lots, and while the rent-a-cops certainly don't prevent all break-ins, you're better off than living in the other apartments around UNCC that aren't gated or surveylanced at all.The all-in-one billing is very convenient for students who don't want to worry about paying a million bills and figuring out how to split it up between roommates, and individual leases are really helpful when you don't know all your roomies.This is my fourth year as a college student, and I have always lived off-campus in apartments or houses.I can say that I seem to get a lot for my money here, and that I have lived in cheaper places that have much worse parking and maintenance.I don't know enough about the management to give a good critique, but I do know that whenever I've been to the office to pick up anything or fax something, they have been very friendly.The other perks are good if you use them, there are BBQ grills, volleyball courts, basketball, pool, etc.which I take full advantage of.It's also REALLY nice to have your own bathroom and walk-in closet...no need to worry about messy roomies there.If you contact the management early enough before move-in, they are very helpful in putting you in the
