Apartment Review for Harris Houston Apartments - Charlotte, NC

When we moved in, for some bizarre reason they wanted us to move in after dark (?), but since that wasn't convenient for anyone we moved in the next morning. They didn't seem very organized to begin with upon our initial meeting, and seemed kind of rushed when showing us the place. On thier site they display a few beautiful pictures of the office, but not the inside of the apartments themselves. Rather misleading if you ask me.

My car was broken into and my was radio stolen, which come to find out later is a frequent occurance around here. After reporting this to the office, they seemed to feign concern and made no effort to actually help. Then a few months later, the CAR ITSELF was stolen. I was outraged, not only that my car and only transportation had been stolen but that NO ONE cared. Again, the office made absolutely no effort to help in any way, gave their "oh that's too bad" speech and resumed thier business. In short, they are extremely uncaring, and have a major attitude problem and sincerely need to adjust it. They had also claimed that if I had shown up for the "community watch" meetings that somehow my car would not have been stolen. ... ??? For one I am a student and had no time for that, and how would this have helped since they have no cameras nor security in the parking lots?

When taking the initial tour, when we asked how safe it was, they stated that it was in fact safe and that they always background check. Then when my things were taken they claimed that they had never actually guaranteed safety. ...

In short, the neighbors are noisy, the rates are high and not worth the bad attitudes, and prepare because your stuff will be stolen.
