Stay Away!

I am moving out after only three months in this complex and for good reason. Given the crime rate of the area, I assumed I would be safe here alone but come to find out, it was not robbers I should have worried about. The complex has one maintenance man who would show up daily yelling in my face about anything and everything, then he would show up IN my apartment unannounced, citing preventative maintenance but could never explain what he was working with. My neighbor stood outside my guest bedroom windown screaming profanites at me because our middle neighbor took "her" parking space and she thought it was my guest's car. After that, she would sit outside in her car waiting for me to leave so she could have my parking space, if it was better than the one she had. On top of all that, I called the cops on someone peeping in my downstairs window and leaving cigarette butts on the patio beneath the windowsill. When I complained to my landlord, she told me I was being ridiculous. Two nights later, after I had left all outside lights on, someone removed all of the bulbs and replaced them with bulbs that were burned out. Again, when I complained to my landlord, she told me to stop worrying, that I was getting irrational. I have called the cops, complained, gotten a dog, and now I'm moving out as soon as possible. This complex is horrible, the units themselves are quite charming but the neighborhood, at least in my experience, has been nothing but a nerve-wracking headache. |
