Apartment Review for Waterford Square Apartments - Charlotte, NC

I moved in late October, paid 1st and last months rent plus deposit.... come move out time they had no recolection of my paying the last months rent and forced me to pay it again. Not to mention during my 13 months while there the main club house burned down - no doubt from other customers they screwed over. I was promised a gym membership since there gym facilities were no longer available - never got it. Carpet wasn't new upon my moving in hence the smell of stale smoke etc permeated the apartment, several calls asking for a carpet cleaning went unanswered so I ended up renting a steam vacuum myself. I had my clothes hanging in the closet and on 2 seperate occasions the closet organizer fell to the ground. It took the mantaince people several days to come to my apt to fix the closet organizer on both occasions. Several times the disposal backed up, that too took days to have fixed. The management or lack there of is not at all helpful. They don't remember previous conversations, return calls nor do they act interested when you call with a problem or concern. If you are looking for a nice place to live.... don't move here; there are several other apt communities nearby that offer much more and are more helpful too. Also, keep in mind if you return home late at night beware there are severl thugs that wonder the grounds late at night. Several cars have been broken into and robberies occur quite often as well. This is not a safe place especially for single women and families with small children. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. Don't be enticed by the low rent price.... thats how they sucker you in. You get what you pay for and here you don't even get that! BEWARE!!!
